Forage preservation for animal breeding keeps going on in the republic

Forage making keeps going on in Tatarstan. As of June 30, 2017, 798,100 tons of haylage and 34,500 tons of hay have been preserved in the republic.

Perennial grasses have been cut out on 269,600 ha of fields, hay and haylage have been cut out on 236,700 ha of fields.

The biggest amount of haylage have been preserved in Zainsk municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan (42,000 tons). 36,400 tons of haylage have been preserved in Alkeevo and Apastovo municipal districts, 34,800 tons – in Nurlat municipal district, and 34,100 tons – in Sarmanovo municipal district.

Top dressing is also being carried out in the republic. Anti-weed treatment has been carried out on 1,631,800 ha, anti-pest and anti-disease treatment have been carried out on 525,400 ha and 591,700 ha correspondingly.
