Plan for variety testing of agricultural crops 2017 was discussed in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan

A committee session on variety testing of agricultural crops 2017 took place in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan today.

The following officials took part in the session: Deputy Arable Farming Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, Director at the branch of the FSBI “Gossortokomissia” (“State variety commission”) in the Republic of Tatarstan Vitaliy Novichkov, Director t the FSBSI “Tatar Science and Research Institute for Agriculture” Marsel Tagirov, Chief at the Seed Growing Department in the branch of the FSBI “Rosselkhozcenter” (“Russian Agricultural Center”) in the Republic of Tatarstan Elena Yarkeeva, Director General at “Elite Tatarstan seeds” association Yuriy Erov, specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, scientists and plant breeders of the FSBSI “Tatar Science and Research Institute for Agriculture”, heads of state variety plots.

Director at the branch of the FSBI “Gossortokomissia” in the Republic of Tatarstan Vitaliy Novichkov reported on the plan of variety testing of agricultural crops for 2017. He spoke in details about seed testing of grains, pulses and cereal crops.

After discussion, the commission approved prospective varieties of agricultural crops for ground variety testing. Crops will be tested in Arsk, Zainsk, Kukmor and Chistopol state variety plots.
