At the end of 2016 The Russian Alliance of Rural Youth with the assistance of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Science of the Russian Federation and the Federal Agency for Youth’s Affairs started the 5thproject called “A young farmer”. Graduating students of secondary specialized educational institutions, students and post-graduates of agrarian higher educational institutions and students production teams could test themselves in business planning, data collection and analysis, making management decisions and team work.
The 1st stage of the game took place in 45 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, teams from 43 agrarian higher educational institutions, 23 secondary specialized educational institutions and 7 students production teams participated in it. All of them presented their business ideas to the regional juries of the contest. The winners of the 1st stage sent their works to the contest steering committee so that the members of expert commission could examine them, too. The latter included representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Russian Alliance of Rural Youth, AO “Rosagroleasing”, All-Russia Science and Research Institute for Economics of Agriculture, the Federal Agency for Youth’s Affairs, the Association of peasant (farm) enterprises and agricultural cooperatives of the Russian Federation, and directors of peasant farm enterprises.
43 best projects were selected from 73 works presented to the contest. The authors of the best business plans will gather at the Vth mind game “Young farmer” in Moscow April 2017.
There are 2 Tatarstan teams among the winners of the 1st stage. One of them represents the FSBEI HPE “Kazan State Agrarian University” (Zukhra Nizamova, Aigul Shamagsumova and Aigul Bikulova, a project on production of reindeer breeding goods (evidence from European red deer (marals) and development of agro-tourism (evidence from the peasant farm enterprise called “Zolotoy rog”/“Golden antler”), another team is from “Tetyushi agricultural training college” (Ulmas Akdavlatov, Ekaterina Volkova, Dmitriy Grishin and Valentina Eremeeva, a project on goat breeding called “Milk valley”).
