Forum of beekeepers took place in Kazan

A forum of beekeepers of the Republic of Tatarstan took place in Kazan. The organizing parties were SBI “Directorate for beekeeping” and “Tatarstan beekeepers”.

The opening speech was given by Vice-Rector for Research at FSBEI VPE “Tatar Institute for Agro-Business Personnel Development” Vladimir Fomin. After that reports were given by Chairman at “Tatarstan beekeepers” Sergey Katkov and Director General at SBI “Directorate for beekeeping” Rashit Safiullin.

Rashit Safiullin spoke on the state of beekeeping in the Republic of Tatarstan and the prospects of development. According to his words, the republic has favourable climatic and economic conditions for development of beekeeping, there is also a sufficient fodder base. “Tatarstan is among leaders in beekeeping development in the Russian Federation”, - emphasized the speaker.

SBI “Directorate for beekeeping” is actively introducing modern technologies of beekeeping. Beside traditional products such as honey and beeswax, there is production of bee families in bags, queen bees, pollen, bee bread, bee glue in Tatarstan.

The following officials also gave speeches: head of the department of the state veterinary control at the Federal service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Directorate of the Republic of Tatarstan Idris Gatin, head of the leasing department of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Fanil Akhmadullin, Chairman at “Kazanmed” Radik Malikov, a representative of OOO TH “Pcheloprom” Rustem Giyazov, Director General at OOO “TH Lyson” Konstantin Dmitriev, etc.

At the end of the forum there was discussion and opinion exchange concerning the issues of beekeeping, usage of modern technologies and equipment on bee yards, treatment and prevention of bee diseases.
