Meeting with Kazakhstan delegation in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan

Today Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov met the delegation from the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by the eligible director at AO “Astana Bank” Asylzhan Mamytbekov. The meeting took place in the Palace of Agriculturalists.

The following officials also took part in the meeting: Deputy Ministers Nikolai Titov and Nazip Khazipov, on the part of Kazakhstan – Chairman of the Executive Board at AO “Astana Bank” Iskander Mailibaev, his assistants Amirek Kurbanov, the bank shareholder Daniyar Amanov.

At the beginning of the meeting, Marat Akhmetov introduced Tatarstan AIC. “There are a lot of climatic zones in Russia, and, of course, it is difficult for us to compete with the Krasnodar Territory, the Belgorod Region and some other regions. However, Tatarstan is among leading substituent entities of the Russian Federation in term of the gross agricultural product. Following the results of 2016, we take the 1st place on milk production”, - said the minister.

Marat Akhmetov also spoke on meat production in Tatarstan, large high-technology livestock breeding complexes, processing enterprises, investment projects, state support for agricultural products of the Republic.

“Tatarstan potential is unlocked not in full, - noted the minister. – We have grand tasks to continue increasing agricultural production. One of the aim is to make agricultural professions attractive”.

Within the framework of the meeting, prospective trends of further mutual cooperation were discussed.
