Records in cattle breeding for 9 months of 2016 have been discussed in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan today. The session was chaired by Deputy Cattle Breeding Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nazip Khazipov.

Cattle breeding consultants, heads of selective-brood services of local directorates for agriculture and food, specialists of “Chief State Agricultural Directorate for Livestock Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan”, directors of AIC enterprises took part in the session.

During the session reports on activities of local directorates for agriculture and food were given by cattle breeding consultants of local agricultural directorates from Chistopol, Menzelinsk, Atnya, Alekseevskoe and Novosheshminsk municipal districts.

Deputy Minister Nazip Khazipov spoke on the records in cattle breeding for 9 months of 2016.

The cattle population in Tatarstan is 740,400 including 245,300 cows. 926,900 tons of milk, 279,000 tons of meat and poultry have been produced. The calf crop is 214,300 heads.

According to the minister’s words, the cattle population has increased in comparison with the previous year level in Kukmor, Baltasi, Aktanysh municipal districts. The cattle population has decreased by over 1,000 heads in Alkeevo, Alekseevskoe, Chistopol, Buinsk, Elabuga and Bavly municipal districts.

The leading districts in the milk production gain are Kukmor, Atnya Baltasi and Saby municipal districts. Poor figures are in Almetyevsk, Kamskoe ustye, Chistopol, Mamadysh, Alekseevskoe and Novosheshminsk municipal districts.

It was decided to make reports on current activities and plans to increase cattle-staff production in the districts with low productiveness records, to hold preliminary meetings with chiefs of agricultural directorates, directors, investors of agricultural firms which had reduced milk production.

At the end of the session, Deputy Minister Nazip Khazipov set the tasks for agricultural producers to feed animals according to the laboratory quality investigation of preserved forage, facilitate cattle reproduction, preserve highly nutritious forage and finish construction of the venues which were to be finished in 2016.
