581,000 ha have been sowed with winter crops in the Republic of Tatarstan, which is 36% of the grain area. In total, the state of winter crops is good and the current weather is favourable for them. The root system is being developed now, the majority of fields are on the tillering stage. It was reported by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov at the republican session in the House of Government of the Republic of Tatarstan today.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held the videoconferencing session with all municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Interim Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin took part in the session.
According to the words of Marat Akmetov, there are some complaints about a number of districts. Thus, farmers of Cheremshan municipal district have sown only 64% of fields from the plan, which is from its turn only 23% of the grain area. “In Bugulma, Yutaza and Bavly the situation is the same, - said Marat Akhmetov. – And don’t blame unfavourable weather conditions”. Marat Akhmetov also remarked on the bad situation in Mendeleevsk municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan also paid attention to the issue of fall ploughing.
“As of today, about 400,000 ha of soil are left unprepared, - he said. – Over 1,300 machines are working. Fall ploughing is about to be finished in Zainsk, Atnya, aktanysh, Baltasi, Saby and Sarmanovo municipal districts (over 90% of the plan)”.
According to the words of Marat Akhmetov, the situation is poor in Novosheshminsk (59%), Cheremshan (55%), Kaibitsy (55%), Alkeevo (51%), Verkhniy Uslon (13%), Kamskoe Ustye (35%) municipal districts.
“We should work round the clock because this affects the future yield, - said Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan in his speech to the heads of districts. – There is sufficient technical potential and favourable weather conditions to carry out the basic tilling”.
During the videoconferencing session the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhamov also spoke to the representatives of the districts which fall behind concerning tilling, namely Verkhniy Uslon and Cheremshan municipal districts, and asked to take steps to improve the current situation.
