Gross grain yield exceeds 4 million tons in Tatarstan

As of August 24 2016, over 4 million tons of grain have been milled in the republic at the average crop yield of 27.1 dt/ha. Harvesting of grains and pulses is coming to the end – only 0.7% of lands are left to be thrashed (10,500 ha). 28 Tatarstan municipal districts have finished grain harvesting.

Harvesting of buckwheat, rape and sugar beetroot keeps going on. 25,200 tons of buckwheat have been milled from 22,600 ha (86%) at the average crop yield of 11.1 dt/ha. 39,300 ha with rape have been cleared (36%), the mill is 30,300 tons, the average crop yield is 7.7 dt/ha.

3,200 ha with sugar beetroot have been cleared (5%). The average crop yield is 300 dt/ha.

230,200 ha (38%) have been sowed with winter crops.
