Unified regulations for organic production certification in the Russian market

From January 1 2017, National State Standard Р 57022-2016 “Organic production. Procedure for voluntary certification” is set in the Russian Federation. The aim is to set the unified regulations for voluntary certification of organic production.

The new national standard meets international best practices. The Russian Federation State Duma Committee on agrarian issues was on the forefront of it.

The approved standard is meant for both organizations validating organic production and those seeking for such validation.

The standard is interconnected with the national standards approved earlier, namely, National State Standard Р 56104-2014 “Organic foodstuff. Definitions” and National State Standard Р 56508-2015 “Organic production. Regulations for production, storage, transportation”.
