The Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan: as of today, 8% of fields have been cleared in the Republic of Tatarstan, which is 122, 000 ha

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov reported on the pace of the sowing campaign in the Republic of Tatarstan at the republican session in the House of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan today. The videoconferencing session was held by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with all municipal districts.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov also took part in the session.

According to the words of Marat Akhmetov, the sowing campaign in Tatarstan is going at full tilt. As of today, 8% of lands have been cleared (122,000 ha), 416, 000 tons of bread have been milled. The average crop yield is 34.1 dt/ha.

Sowing is going fast in Apastovo, Aktanysh, Kaibitsy, Buinsk, Zainsk, Chistopol, Alekseevsk and Alkeevo municipal districts. Bad pace is in Muslyumovo, Novosheshminsk, Cheremshan and Drozhzhanoe municipal districts.

The minister noted that the southeastern part of the republic suffered from draught most of all, especially Bavly, Yutazy and Bugulma municipal districts.

The minister reminded that it was necessary to clear not less than 5% of fields every day.

There are 42 elevators with the total capacity of 2.3 million tons in the republic. All of them, including Chistopol elevator, have started grain receiving of the new yield.

At the end, Marat Akhemtov added that the republic had good results owing to winter crops. As of today, the average crop yield in the republic is 34.1 dt/ha, which is mainly the merit of winter crops.

Applying to the district administrations, Rustam Minnikhanov called to start preparation work for autumn sowing simultaneously with harvesting.

He also said that today possibility is considered to attract additional investments for purchasing of fertilizers. By order of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan will be in charge of allocation of these investments between different establishments.
