Procurement of forage has started in Tatarstan

In the majority of Tatarstan districts farmers have started making forage. As of June 1, 2016, in the republic 8,300 tons of hay, 57,300 tons of haylage and 0.08 thousand tons of woody forage have been procured.

Perennial grasses have been cut on 50,100 ha of lands, where grasses form 37,700 ha of lands have been cut for hay and haylage.

The leading districts in making hay are Aktanysh (1,400 tons), Novosheshminsk (1,000 tons) and Zainsk (900 tons) municipal districts.

In Zainsk municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan farmers have made haylage most of all (8,900 tons). In Alekseevo municipal district farmers have made 7,100 tons of haylage, in Zelenodolsk municipal district – 5,900 tons, in Alkeevo municipal district – 5,100 tons, in Atnya municipal district – 5,000 tons.

Tillage is also going on in the republic. Anti-blast treatment has been done on 1,025,500 ha of lands, anti-pest treatment has been fulfilled on 597,000 ha.
