The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan: 1,738,600 ha have been sowed with spring crops

As of May 21, 2016, in total 1,738,600 ha have been sowed with spring crops in the republic, which is 98% of the plan. Last year the figure was 1,593,300 ha.

In total 1,047,100 ha have been sowed with spring crops in the republic (99.7% of the plan). 90,700 ha have been sowed with grain maize (88.9%, the figure was 1,035,500 ha in 2015), 147,600 ha have been sowed with grain for silage (93.5%, the figure was 118,200 in 2015).

93,900 ha have been sowed with rape (80.9%, the figure was 45,600 ha in 2015), 103,200 ha – with sunflower (93.4%, the figure was 49,100 ha).

63,000 ha have been sowed with sugar beet (99.3%, the figure was 57,000 ha in 2015).

6,800 ha have been sowed with potato (77.4%, the figure was 3,700 ha in 2015).

243,700 ha have been sowed with annual grasses and fodder crops (90.2%).
