Tatarstan sowing campaign takes on momentum

As of April 27, 2016, in total 103,600 ha have been sowed with spring crops in the republic, which is 6% from the plan. 80,400 ha have been sowed with spring grains, where 6,700 ha have been sowed with spring wheat and 55,800 ha have been sowed with barley.

The leading districts are Zainsk (11,500 ha or 22%), Sarmanovo (10,300 ha or 19%), Chistopol (8,100 ha or 13%) municipal districts.

Sugar beetroot has been sowed on 4,300 ha (7%) in the republic.

Top dressing of winter crops is about to finish. As of April 27, 2016, winter crops have been dressed on 516,900 ha (90%).
