Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan reported on the readiness of machinery for spring field works

Marat Akhmetov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, reported on the preparation of machinery and equipment for spring field works 2016 in the House of Government of the Republic of Tatarstan today.

Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, held the video conference with all municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Prime minister of the republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov also took part in the session.

Marat Akhemtov reported that 11,000 tractors, 6,000 seeding machines and cultivators, 607 cowing complexes with energy efficient tractors will be used in the following sowing campaign.

92% of tractors, 98% of seeding machines and cultivators, 88% of sowing complexes got ready for the campaign.

However, according to the minister’s words, due to unsatisfactory pace of work and absence of spare parts in a number of municipal districts of the republic repairing of tractors has not been finished yet.

The minister noted that there was a great concern about wide-cut sowing machines. In some districts they are not ready for spring field works.

Marat Akhmetov reported that every year 1.5 billion roubles are required for purchasing of spare parts for repairing of machinery which is used in spring field works. As of today, 1.2 billion rubles have been spent for purchasing of equipment (80%).

In the current year it is planned to expand the areas with high productive crops such as corn, sunflower and ripe. The minister reminded that these crops required early sowing, which required in its turn the proper technical equipment. This year 174 seeding machines will be purchased.

The minister announced that in the districts yearly examination of tractors have started, it is planned to finish them by April 15.

Marat Akhmetov also reported on the supplies of diesel fuel on farms, namely he asked directors of agricultural enterprises to pay for subsidized fuel timely.
