Marat Akhmetov, Ministrrbof Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan: since the beginning of the current year 94,500 tons of milk have been produced in Tatarstan

Mar Akhmetov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, reported on the milk and meat production in the Republic of Tatarstan following the records in January 2016 in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan today.

The video conferencing session with all municipal districts was held by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Since the beginning of the current year, 94,500 tons of milk have been produced in the Republic of Tatarstan, there is an increase in comparison with 2015.

According to his words, the task for the current year is to provide at least a 5% increase in milk production.

As of today, about 3,100 tons of milk are produced by agricultural enterprises daily, among the districts the constant leader in daily milk yield is Baltasi municipal district, said the minister. Among other leading districts are Kukmor, Atnya, Aktanysh and Saby municipal districts.

Speaking about meat production, the minister of agriculture and food of the Republic of Tatarstan said that the main branch of meat production should be beef production. He noted that out of 43 districts the positive dynamics in production in January is only in 27 districts.

The minister of agriculture and food of the Republic of Tatarstan told about the subsidies for a litre of sold milk. According to his words, the subsidies will be allocated from the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan following the records in January, federal subsidies- following the records in the first quarter of year.

According to preliminary calculation, there are some districts which could be given big subsidies. The minister of agriculture and food of the Republic of Tatarstan advised the districts with small subsidies to increase milk production and thus to improve their financial state.
