Records in livestock breeding for 2015 were discussed in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan

Today records in livestock breeding for 2015 were discussed in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. The session was chaired by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan in livestock breeding Nazip Khazipov.

Livestock breeding consultants, chiefs of selective-brood services at local directorates for agriculture and food, head of “Chief state agricultural directorate for pedigree livestock farming at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan” Ilsur Zakirov, etc. took part in the event.

In his speech Nazip Khazipov presented the data on livestock breeding performance for 2015; he paid special attention to the issues of meat and milk production, as well as calf reproduction.

According to his words, the operating performance in the sphere of livestock breeding is good.

As of January 1, 2015, 357,400 tons of meat (103%) were produced, including the capacity gain of 92,600 tons in cattle meat (2%),178,600 tons in poultry (7%), and 83,600 tons in pork (100%).

“Last year 1,172,400 tons of milk (!04%) were produced. We also passed a 5,000 milestone in cow productivity”, - noted deputy minister.

In agricultural enterprises of the republic the cattle population is 746,700 heads (101%). The calf crop is 277,600 heads (102%).

Cattle population has increased in Verkhniy uslon, Menzelinsk, Kukmor and Tetyushi municipal districts. Zelenodolsk, Almetyevsk, Cheremshan, Zainsk, Kamskoye Ustye and Nizhniy Kamsk municipal districts fall behind.

The biggest milk yield gain is in Mamadysh, Vysokaya Gora, Mendeleevsk, Kukmor, Alkeevo, Nurlat, Muslyumovo and Atnya municipal districts. Poor performance is in Tetyushi, Agryz, Almetevsk, Nizhniy Kamsk and Chistopol municipal districts.

Nazip Khazipov announced the rating of district in terms of milk herd productivity. The best milk yield is in Atnya, Saby, Mamadysh, Baltasi and Kukmor municipal districts. Cheremshan, Mendeleevsk, Muslyumovo and Menzelinsk municipal districts are behind. The worst situation is in “Kosmos” in Nurlat municipal district, “Spartak” and “Mars” in Leninogorsk municipal district, “Rodina” in Kaibitsy municipal district, “Agrouslugi Cheremshan” and “Alga” in Cheremshan municipal district, and some others.

Within the framework of the meeting the good performance in forage quality improvement on farm enterprises in Aktanysh municipal district was presented.

Ilsur Zakirov presented the analysis of calf reproduction and calf crop in the republic. He noted the positive tendency in calf crop and paid attention to the necessity to bring into sync the population of tribal cows.

At the end of the session Nazip Khazipov announced the start of training for farmers in January 2016 at Kazan state Academy for Veterinary Medicine named after E. Bauman.
