178,600 tons of live weight poultry for slaughter and 871 million eggs were produced in Tatarstan in 2015

Industrial poultry breeding in the Republic of Tatarstan is one of the biggest in the Russian Federation. In 2015 178,600 tons of live weight birds for slaughter were produced (+5% in comparison with the level of 2014), 871 million eggs were produced (+9%) in Tatarstan agricultural enterprises.

The main gain in poultry production was made by “Chelny-Broiler” (115,300 tons, +6%) and “Ak Bars” (53,300 tons, +3%).

The following enterprises contributed to poultry production: “Zalesnyi” (1,625 tons of turkey meat), farm peasant enterprise “Ramaevskoe” (1,089 tons of goose meat), farm peasant enterprise “Chaika” (1,100 tons), farm peasant enterprise “Ziganshin” (309 tons), farm peasant enterprise “Sakhipgaraev” (407 tons), farm peasant enterprise “Kostchakovskiy” (352 tons).

The biggest egg production is in Laishevo branch of “Poultry production complex “Ak Bars” – 580 million eggs. This is 72% of the total egg production in the republic. There are 2.5 million birds in “Poultry breeding complex “Ak Bars”, including 1.8 laying hens. 466 people are employed here with the average monthly salary of 30,400 rubles.

In 2015 “Laishevskiy” and “Leninogorskaya” increased egg production – 111.5 million eggs (+27%) and 57.4 million eggs (+70%) correspondingly.

In skilled workers’ opinion, operating performance increased owing to reconstruction and modernization of existing poultry breeding venues and putting into exploitation of new ones. Further development of the industry intends active usage of innovative technologies in the sphere of genetics and selection of all kinds of birds, creation and use of domestic biological products, introduction of new methods of poultry and egg processing, export potential gain.
