Beekeepers of Aznakaevo municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan apply the tested method of bee wintering

Beekeepers from Aznakaevo municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan apply the tested method of bee wintering. Thus, a beekeeper from the village of October-Bulyak – Fandas Bikov – keeps his beehives under the snow. Other beekeepers have already adopted this positive experience. In their opinion wintering goes successfully this way, bees become tempered and more resistant to different diseases.

“There are 14,150 wintering bee families in the district, 4,500 out of them are under the snow. The winter this year is warm. Later we are going to apply this method of wintering more and more often”, said Adip Khaziev, - chief inspector for beekeeping in Aznakaevo municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan.

According to his words, beekeepers of the district cooperate with each other and share their experience.

A special honey shop is being built in Aznakaevo.

Aznakaevo beekeepers takes the 1st place in Tatarstan concerning honey production (25 kg of honey per beehive) and the 2nd place concerning the number of bee families.
