220,000 ha of fields will be sowed with oil crops in Tatarstan in 2016

“Ak Bars Pestretsy” of Pestretsy municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan has some successful experience in ripe cultivation. The enterprise has about 20,000ha of fields, including fields with grains (12,000 ha), fodder crops (6,000 ha) and oil crops (2,000 ha).

1,500 ha of fields are sowed with ripe (Nemon variety. This crop is not only cost-efficient, but also improves soils and increases productiveness of crop rotation by 10-15%. This crop is also a phytosanitarian one because it destroys root rots in the soil. This year “Ak Bars Pestretsy” has sold 2,500 tons of oil seeds, the profitability is 35%.

In 2016 the enterprise is going to increase lands for oil crops up to 3,500 ha, including ripe fields – up to 2,400 ha.

It is planned to sow over 220,000 ha of lands with oil crops in the republic next year, including 105,000 ha with ripe.

In the winter the ministry of agriculture and food of the republic of Tatarstan will hold local sessions and professional training for specialists of agricultural enterprises. The main attention will be paid to the technology of oil crops cultivation in Tatarstan.
