Livestock breeding records for 11 months of 2015 were discussed in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan

A session on the records for 11 months of 2015 in Tatarstan cattle breeding took place in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan on December 7, 2015.

Deputy minister of agriculture and food of the republic of Tatarstan on cattle breeding Nazip Khazipov, specialists of the Ministry of the Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, “Chief State Agricultural Directorate for Livestock Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan”, livestock breeding consultants, directors of selective-brood services at local directorates for agriculture and foodstuff took part in the session.

A keynote report was made by deputy minister Nazip Khazipov. He informed about the records in cattle breeding for 11 months of the current year, and paid special attention to milk and meat production.

As of December 1, 2015, 326,200 tons of meat (104%) were produced. The increase in beef production has made up 2%, and 7% in poultry production .

For November 2015, milk production increased by 5%, over 1,078,600 tons of milk were produced (+43,100 tons). The average milk yield per cow was 4,633 kg (+165 kg).

In agricultural enterprises of the republic the cattle population is 744,800 (101%).

There is an increase of cattle population on Verkhniy Uslon, Kukmor, Menzelinsk, Buinsk, Novosheshminsk, Alekseevsk, Chistopol and Alkeevo municipal districts, as it was said by Nazip Khazipov. Almetyevsk, Zelenodolsk, Cheremshan, Zainsk, Nizhniy Kamsk and Sarmanovo municipal districts have poor results.

The biggest increase in milk production is in Mamadysh, Vysokaya Gora, Mendeleevsk, Kukmor, Alkeevo, Nurlat, Muslyumovo and Atnya municipal districts. The smallest increase is in Tetyushi, Agryz, Almetyevsk, Nizhniy Kamsk and Chistopol municipal districts.

Deputy Minister said that it was necessary to increase the cattle population in municipal districts.

At the end of the meeting Nazip Khazipov informed about the forthoming republican session which takes place in the integrated agricultural production center “Kyzyl yul”, on December 16-20, 2015. The main topic for discussion will be the increase of milk production in Tatarstan AIC.
