Corn seeds supply was discussed in the Ministry of Agriculture and food of the Republic of Tatarstan

Yesterday, on November 19, a session devoted to the issues of corn seeds supply for agricultural producers of the Republic of Tatarstan took place in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The following officials took part in the session: Ildus Gabdrakhmanov – deputy minister of agriculture and food of the Republic of Tatarstan, experts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, Marsel Tagirov – director of the FSBSI “Tatar Science and Research Institute for Agriculture”, Rafis Khabibullin – director deputy at the branch of the FSBI “Rosselkhozcenter” in the Republic of Tatarstan, Ramel Kayumov – director of the department of the phytosanitary surveillance for grain quality and seed control at the directorate of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance in the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of big corn seeds suppliers in the republic “RATSIN”, “Tatagrokhimservice”, “Trade house “Altai & K”, “Agrotechnokom”.

The main aim of the session was to discuss the issues of corn seeds quality control for agricultural producers of the republic and search for unfair suppliers of corn seeds.

Ildus Gabdrakhmanov started the session. He outlined the problems connected with the supply of corn seeds into the republic. The main problem is poor quality of seeds. Deputy minister asked the representatives of enterprises to pay special attention to this problem.

Within the framework of the event, the issues devoted to the cultivation technology of corn were discussed.

Following the results of the session, the decision was taken to carry out training for directors and skilled workers of agricultural enterprises before the beginning of the spring field works and to provide quality control of corn seeds which are brought into the republic in Chistopol municipal district.
