Tatarstan is leading in milk production and distribution among Russian Federation regions

Agricultural enterprises and farm households of the republic produce and distribute the biggest amount of milk among all the regions of the Russian Federation. As of November 2, 2015, the daily milk yield is 2,923 tons (106% in comparison with the level of 2014), 2,773 tons have been distributed (107%), which corresponds to the milk production capacity in 7 regions of the Russian Federation. Tatarstan has a share of 7.9% in Russian milk production today (it was 7.6% in 2014).

The average milk yield per cow has increased by 0.9 kg in comparison with the corresponding period of the previous year and is 12.7 kg now (in the Russian Federation it is 12.3 kg).
