Sugar beet harvesting has been finished in Apastovo, Kaibitsy and Leninogorsk municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan

There are 57,700 ha of fields with sugar beet in the Republic of Tatarstan this year, which is by 9,500 ha more than it was last year. The crop is cultivated in 15 municipal districts.

As of October 23, 2015, 1.7 million tons of sugar beet have been harvested from 50,200 ha (86%), the average crop yield is 346 dt/ha. Apastovo, Kaibitsy and Leninogorsk municipal districts have finished sugar beet harvesting.

The leaders in the gross yield are Zainsk municipal district (294,000 tons have been harvested at the crop yield of 420 dt/ha) and Buinsk municipal district (274,300 tons at the crop yield of 355 dt/ha).

The leaders in the biggest average crop yield are “Avangard” in Buinsk municipal district (463 dt/ha), “Kolos” in Tetyushi municipal district (450 dt/ha), “Zainskiy Sakhar” in Zainsk municipal district (443 dt/ha), “Zai” in Zainsk municipal district (435 dt/ha), “Kama” in Tukaevo municipal district (380 dt/ha).

About 70 harvesters are used 24/7, about 1,000 tons of sugar beet are harvested daily, 650 trucks deliver sugar beet to 3 sugar factories.

In total there are 1.1 million tons of sugar at factories. 770,000 tons of raw materials have been processed, 111,000 tons of sugar have been produced, the sugar output is 14.5%. The need for sugar in the republic is 160,000 tons, this year over 200,000 tons of sugar are planned to be produced.
