Autumn period of field works within the framework of preparation to agricultural exhibition “International Filed Days in the Volga Region”

The autumn period of field works on the experimental field has finished within the framework of the preparation to the 2nd technological agricultural exhibition “International Field Days in the Volga Region”.

Within the framework of the autumn works primary tillage, reclaiming, cultivation, fertilization, soil treatment with fungicides and insecticides, winter crops sowing have been carried out.

The work is done by a Russian-German professional team headed by Rainchard Rossberg, DLG chief crop husbandry specialist, and Aitugan Khaziev, director of the Selection and Seed Breeding Center at the FSBSI “Tatar Science and Research Institute for Agriculture”.

The exhibition “International Field Days in the Volga Region” takes place in Laishevo municipal disctrict of the Republic of Tatarstan from June 30 thorugh July 2, 2016. It is expected to attract about 200 exhibits from Russian regions and European countries and over 10,000 specialists are expected to visit it.

“International Field Days in the Volga Region” is the first field exhibition in the format of German “Field Days”. The organizing parties are the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, German Agricultural Association (DLG), “Kazan Fair” and IFWexpo Heidelberg GmbH.
