Vital issues of workers unions were discussed at the presidium meeting of the Republican Committee of Tatarstan AIC workers unions

On September 8 2015, a presidium meeting of the Republican committee of AIC workers unions took place. The meeting was chaired by Farida Garifullina, Chairwoman of the Republican committee of AIC workers unions. At the meeting the activity of the Kazan State Academy for Veterinary Medicine Workers Union was examined and Khalim Rakhimullin, chairman of Baltasi workers union, gave a report on “Compliance with the health and safety requirements during harvesting campaign 2015”.

Svetlana Zakharova, chairwoman of the Kazan State Academy for Veterinary Medicine Workers Union, also gave a report. It is one of the largest organizations in the republican workers union organization. There are1,257 members of workers unions in it. The workers union committee pays great attention to the control over compliance with the requirements of the collective contract, participates in negotiations with the administrative bodies concerning different social-economic issues and legal issues, looking after the interests of workers union members.

Presidium members appraised the positive activity of the Kazan State Academy for Veterinary Medicine Workers Union. The Workers Union Committee was recommended to participate more actively in republican talent contests, sport events, and to promote working in villages.

Khalim Rakhimullin, chairman of Baltasi workers union, gave a speech concerning another issue. Year after year health and safety appropriation is rising. “For last 3 years there were no fatalities at work”, he reported. The taken steps facilitate production development, improvement of labour conditions and solvation of social problems.

The republican workers union presidium suggested using the work experience of Baltasi workers union on compliance with the health and safety requirements in AIC enterprises, as well as recommended local committees of the workers union and workers union committees in enterprises and organizations to provide control over the compliance with the requirements of collective contracts, paying special attention to the improvement of labour conditions, preservation of health and life of AIC workers, timely investigation of accidents, and prevention of concealing the facts of injuries at work.

Financial record of workers unions were also was also examined at the meeting. With the aim of optimization the unions were suggested starting transferring to the cash servicing.
