Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation calls for accreditation on agricultural producers’ exchange to participate in purchasing interventions of grain

The Ministry of Agriuclture of the Russian Federation encharged “United Grain Company” with the task to start on July 1 2015 the accreditation at the exchange of agricultural producers for participation in the state purchasing grain interventions of harvest 2015.

“The Ministry of Agriculture carries out grain interventions every year. We consider them to be an important tool to set an attractive and stable price for agricultural products by peasants”, noted Sergey Levin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

During the preparation to the state purchasing grain interventions by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation the ministry order was developed and coordinated with the Russian Federal Tariff Service to set the minimum prices for the grain of harvest 2015 during the state purchasing interventions in 2015-2016; competitive tenders for the selection of enterprises to store the grains of harvest 2015 with the total amount of grain of over 6,000,000 tons were held; adjustments to the regulations for stock trading on organization of the state purchasing interventions in 2015-2016 were developed and adopted; the contest on the selection of insurance companies to insure the grains of the intervention fund of harvest 2015 was held. According to the results of the contest insurance company “RAB – Insurance” was chosen.
