Lands for sunflower sowing have been expanded in Chistopol municipal district

Farm enterprises of Chistopol municipal district have expanded lands for sowing of the sunflower this year.

Currently this industrial crop is in big demand on the market, beside this it does not require any special handling. Two years ago “TatAgro” and “TransAgro” companies started cultivating of this crop, this year the companies also sowed the sunflower on several thousands of ha. “Rodnik” company started to sow this crop, too.

Last year 4.5 thousand ha were sowed with the sunflower while this year 8.5 thousand ha have been sowed with the sunflower. Sunflower seeds will be distributed by oil extracting plants while the cake will be given to cattle as forage.
