The I All-Russia Food Safety Forum started in Rostov-on-Don today
The interim president of the republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in Rostov-on-Don on a working visit today. The following officials also participate in the event: Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, Director General of “Ak Bars” holding company Ivan Egorov, Director General of “Maisky” trade company Ilshat Ganiev, CEO of Tatpotrebsoyuz Ьфлрьге Fattakhov, Director General of “Tatspirtprom” Irek Minnakhmetov, Director General of “Prosto Moloko” Marat Muratov, etc.
The forum takes place on June 4-5 2015 at “VertolExpo” exhibition center (30 M.Nagibin Street, Rostov-on-Don).
Having arrived to the forum, Rustam Minnikhanov and other officials watched the displays of different regions and companies producing foodstuff.
The republic of Tatarstan was presented by such famous AIC enterprises as “Tatspirtprom”, “Prosto Moloko”, “Ak Bars” Holding Company”, “Chelny Broyler”, “Agrosila Group”, Chairman of the Tatarstan Farm Households Association Kamiyar Baitemirov, etc.
Delegations of leading Russian regions participate in the forum: Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, the Republics of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, the Crimea, Moscow, Leningrad, Belgorod, Volgograd, Voronezh, Bryansk, Kursk, Lipetsk, Saratov Regions, Mordovia and some others – over 30 constituent entities of the Russian Federation in total.
Today Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a panel discussion “Key threats for food safety in Russia as priority opportunities for investments”.
Tomorrow, on the second day of the forum, there will be the plenary session “Food safety of Russia under new economic conditions”. Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev is expected to participate in the plenary session.

The Principle of Food Safety of the Russian Federation, on the basis of which the state policy in the sphere of AIC and foodstuff in general is built, was adopted 5 years ago with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation.
The 1st All-Russia Food Safety Forum is an event where for the first time the implementation of the Principle will be discussed.
In autumn 2014 the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin supported the initiative of the Governor of the Rostov Region Vasily Golubev to held the 1st All-Russia Food Safety Forum in Rostov-on-Don. Co-organizing parties of the forum are the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Rostov Region.
The forum has the following guidelines: expert discussion of the issues of food safety; recommendations to increase the food safety of the country; decisions to develop import substitution in the AIC sphere and corresponding spheres; protection of the national food market for the benefit of domestic producers.
There are about 3,000 participants of the forum, including 1,000 people who will took part at the plenary session.
