1,394,100 ha of lands are sowed with spring crops in Tatarstan which is 81% of the forecast

According to the recent data of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, 1,394,100 ha of fields have been sowed with crops, which is 81% of the forecast.

The leaders in the sowing campaign are Buinsk and Nurlat municipal districts, 88% of lands are sowed with crops there. In Tyulyachi municipal district 87% of lands are sowed, in Apastovo and Atnya municipal districts – 86%.

Sowing of sugar beet is finishing, as of May 15, 56,000 ha (96%) have been sowed with this crop.

Farmers continue setting potato – 12,000 ha (15%) have been put in with this crop, they also continue setting corn – 27,000 ha (76%) have been sowed. 30,900 ha have been sowed with rape (33%), 959,100 ha have been sowed with spring crops (90%), including spring wheat (407,700 ha or 86%) and pea (57,400 ha or 91%).
