639,700 ha (37%) have been sowed with spring crops in the republic

According to May 8, the sowing has been carried out on 639,700 ha (37%) in the republic. 27,800 ha (49%) have been sowed with sugar beet, 6,700 ha (7%) – with rape, 478,100 ha (45%) – with spring crops where 291,500 ha (73%) have been sowed with barley (73%), 90,100 ha with wheat (19%) and 33,400 ha with peas (54%).

The leaders among the amount of territories sowed with crops are Sarmanovo (33,300 ha – 55%), Nurlat (23,400 ha – 52%), Zainsk (22,500 ha – 48%), and Almetyevsk (21,600 ha – 48%) municipal districts.

Sowing of sugar beet is going on in different districts of the republic. 7,000 ha are sowed in Sarmanovo, 4,300 ha – in Nurlat, 3,400 ha – in Zainsk municipal districts.

Sowing of Rape is being carried out in Arsk (1,800 ha), Rybnaya Sloboda (1,400 ha), Almetyevsk (1,000 ha), Spasskoe (800 ha), Chistopol (500 ha) municipal districts.

Harrowing of winter crops (83%) and perennial grasses (97%) is finishing.
