Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation will allocate over 40 million rubles for development of Tatarstan beef cattle breeding

Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev signed the instruction of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation concerning the support of beef cattle breeding. In 2015, 40.2 million rubles are allocated from the federal budget to this sphere in the Republic of Tatarstan.

“Development of the beef cattle breeding plays an important role in fast import substitution. Concerning self-sufficiency in meat and meat products, year after year we have exceeded the target to reach the threshold values of the Food Safety Doctrine of the Russian Federation by 1% on average. Now we are going to work harder in this sphere”, emphasized Nikolai Fedorov, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

The subsidies are allocated to the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan to co-finance the regional program on development of beef cattle breeding. The total financial support of the Russian Federation constituent entities in this sphere has amounted to 2.375 billion rubles. Implementation of regional programs in this sphere will enable to guarantee the increase in beef and mongrel breeding stock by 109 heads.
