Top dressing of perennial grasses and winter crops has started in the Republic of Tatarstan

In the Republic of Tatarstan top dressing of perennial grasses and winter crops has started, by today 55,000 ha with crops has been already top dressed. It was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhemtov at the republican session in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan today.

The videoconferencing with all the municipal districts of the republic was held by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhaniv. Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov also took part in the session.

Marat Akhmetov reported that 30 planes, 80 pneumatic-tired machines and other machinery are to be used during top dressing.

The Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan reported on the dynamics of top dressing in 2012-2014. He also reported that as of April 10 2015 in the republic there were 23.7 kg of fertilizers per ha on average.

Marat Akhmetov said that in the republic there are a lot of sour lands, about 14 million ha, that is why in order to harvest it is necessary to spend more fertilizers. The minister noted that farmers should take into consideration that it is impossible to rely only on the support from the budget.

Marat Akhmetov also announced the data on the dynamics of prices on fertilizers since 2011. in 2011 1 kg of fertilizer cost 27 ruble, in 2012 – 31 ruble, in 2013 – 33 rubles, in 2014 – 34 ruble, 2015 – 46 rubles.
