Session devoted to agricultural insurance took place in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan

Yesterday, on April 6, the session devoted to the issues of agricultural insurance with the state support was held in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. It was chaired by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikolai Titov.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov gave a short speech concerning the state of agricultural insurance with the governmental support. Representatives of different insurance companies presented their plans and paid attention to some issues of the implementation of agreements on agricultural insurance. Agricultural producers and independent experts also participated in the discussion.

During the session the following issues were also discussed: attractiveness of agricultural insurance with the state support, expansion in insurance of crop acreage and cattle population, insurance payout.

At the end of the session it was decided to create a conciliation commission, which would consist of the representatives of insurance companies, agricultural producers, and independent experts to find out the questions of issue at formation and implementation of contracts on agricultural insurance with the state support.
