Organic production

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan is taking measures to organize and develop organic production on the territory of the republic. This kind of agricultural production differs from the traditional one by excluding the usage of mineral fertilizers, synthetic herbicides, fungicides, insecticides end other pesticides, synthetic growth-regulating chemicals, and also by using the methods of land cultivation which increase the stability of soil content and biodiversity of soils.

With the aim to support the development of production and selling of organic products on the territory of the republic, the Social Council on Organic Production was created by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Currently, within the framework of the Social Council performance the list of agricultural producers is being created who wish or plan to participate in the organization of organic production on the territory of the republic. For the farm households, included into the list mentioned above, the soil-ecological state estimation of agricultural lands will be carried out free of charge with the aim to select the lands for organic production.

The Social Council invites republican agricultural producers to participate in the organization of organic production on the territory of the republic.
