The issue of lands for farm households was discussed at the republican session in the House of Government of the Republic of Tatarstan on Saturday. The videoconferencing session was held with all municipal districts by the President of the Republic of tatarstanRustam Minnikhanov. Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan ildar Khalikov also participated in it.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov reported that farmhouseholds have 281,000 ha of lands, where 156,000 ha (55%) are rented state lands, 60,000 ha (21%) are the property of citizens, 41,000 ha are rented share lands, 7,000 ha (3%) are lands for permanent perpetual use.
According to Marat Akhmetov, in a number of municipal districts the problem of providing farm households with lands is not being discussed for a long time, in some districts the rent is too high. He asked executive authorities and local administrations to pay proper attention to that.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov reminded in his turn that the development of farm households was one of the important tasks for agriculture in our republic. This is the issue of employment among city population, creation of workplaces, income of citizens.
The Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan suggested heads of municipal districts monitoring the issues of providing farmhouse holds with land, and defining the rent for lands. He suggested creating a land redistribution fund. Marat Akhmetov also announced that the rent for land shares is 508 rubles per ha in the republic, in 2014. He also named the districts with the lowest and the highest rent.
