Today in “Zarya” department of “Set ile” branch, Kukmor municipal district, the issues of young stock preservation were discussed.
The following officials participated in the discussion: Chief of the Main Veterinary Directorate of Tatarstan Cabinet Almaz Khisamutdinov, Deputy Minister for cattle breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nazip Khazipov, Head of Kukmor municipal district Sergey Dmitriev, Deputy Chief of the Main Veterinary Department of Tatarstan Cabinet Airat Garaev, Director of agricultural department of Kukmor municipal district Rafak Khaliullin, specialists of the Main Veterinary Directorate of Tatarstan Cabinet, directors of local veterinary associations, main veterinarians of bog holding companies.
The aim of the seminar is to present veterinarians of the republic the successful working experience of Kukmor veterinarian association concerning winter farm animal housing and young cattle preservation.
“The key to success is well coordinated work of all specialists: director, artificial insemination specialist, veterinarian and nursing personnel stuff”, says Rifat Karimullin. They should stick to the standard series of actions: balanced feeding, timely vaccination, artificial insemination. All these measures help to preserve cattle population.
Beside this, in all farm households of the district there is a rule called “free-occupied”. It means that a venue is set free, cleaned and disinfection is performed there. It is empty and free for about a month. All the venues for cold type of calf housing were turned into changeable “rest houses”. Having got 55-60 calves, farmers keep them in the venue where they were born. They are kept there for 4 months. As a result, the calves are less affected by infections and stress. By the present data there are 9 such “rest houses”.
Such working process and timely vaccination leads to great results. Nowadays cattle preservation in Kukmor municipal district is 97%.
