Tatarstan beekeepers top up qualifications

The SBI “Beekeeping Department” announced that from February 24 until March 7, 2015 Tatarstan beekeepers would upgrade their skills under the program “Improvement of Beekeeping Efficiency”. Principles, conditions and factors influencing the market of beekeeping products will be discussed during the training. At the lessons the following topics will be studied: the biology of a honey-bee colony, forage resources, spring work on a bee-yard, preparation to the main flow, breeding of queen bees, requirements for the buildings on a bee-yard, beehives and equipment. Modern technologies and equipment for beekeeping, methods of diagnostics, treatment and disease prevention will also be presented. Special attention will be paid to organic beekeeping products. Banking and insurance specialists will give some valuable information on the terms of crediting and insurance of a bee-yard.

Professors and assistant professors of the FSBEI “Tatar Institute of Personnel Development in Agricultural Business”, specialists of “Beekeeping Department”, banking and insurance specialists and beekeepers with great theoretical and practical experience in beekeeping will give classes.
