Results of work in animal farming for 10 months of 2014 and tasks for the forthcoming winter

Today in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, the results of work in cattle breeding for 10 months of the current year have been analyzed and the tasks for the winter stable keeping of animals have been set. The session was held by the Deputy Minister of Animal Farming Nazip Khazipov.

Consultants on animal farming of local agricultural and foodstuff administrations, specialists of brood offices of municipal districts as well as representatives of investors took part in the session.

Nazip khazipov informed the participants of the meeting about the creation of working parties to provide assistance during the winter stable animal keeping.

In total for 10 months of the current year, the figures in animal breeding are good.

In the republic the cattle population is 738,800 (100% of the previous year), including 245,000 cows. 953,300 tons of milk have been produced (105% of the previous year), the average milk yield is 4,113 kg per cow. 285,000 tons of cattle and poultry have been produced (100% of the previous year), including 76,200 tons of cattle, 226,300 calves.

Nazip Khazipov closed the session having recommended sowing 200 ha with rape in each agricultural household of municipal districts to feed animals with forage in the future.
