Testing of new varieties in the Republic of Tatarstan

Today in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan a session chaired by Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan on Farming, was held. It was devoted to the issues of varieties testing in 2014 on the state variety test plots of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Scientists of the Tatar Agriculture Research and Development Institute, specialists of the FSBI “State Variety Test Commission” in the Republic of Tatarstan, “Elite Seed Varieties of Tatarstan” Association, as well as representatives of the FSBI “Russian Agricultural Center” in the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the session.

According to the results of varieties testing 5 varieties of spring wheat and one variety of winter wheat, barley and peas were presented for regional assignment.

The issue of rating among seed farms was also under discussion. According to the results of work of the commission, 57 seed farms got rating categories.
