Results of work in agriculture for 9 months

In the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan summarized the results of work for 9 months of the current year and discussed the tasks for the winter farm animal housing.

The event was chaired by Deputy Minister of the Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nazip Khazipov. Consultants on cattle breeding from local agricultural and foodstuff departments as well as specialists of pedigree livestock breeding from municipal districts participated in it.

According to Nazip Khazipov the results in cattle breeding are positive.

In the republic livestock population is 740,400 (100% in comparison with the last year), including 245,000 cows. 865,600 tons of milk were produced (104% in comparison with the last year), the average milk yield is 3,735 kg per cow, 256,200 tons of cattle and poultry were produced, including 68,500 tons of beef cattle and 206,900 calves.

The following tasks were set: to present the information about horses of the “Tatar” breed on all farms, as well as the information about fish farms on the territory of the municipal district.

Nazip Khazipov noted that in November of the current year it was planned to organize local meetings with heads of municipal districts.

Ildus Zakirov reported on the state of cattle production and the task to improve it.

Concluding the meeting Nazip Khazipov recommended municipal districts to pay special attention to the issues of feeding, keeping and production of cattle during the winter farm animal housing.
