Over 97 million crops have been milled

By October 1, 2014 according to the recent data of AIC administrative bodies of the Russian Federation constituent entities 38.8 million ha with grains and pulses were thrashed, which is 85.9% of the total harvesting area (last year – 36 million ha)

97.6 million tons of crops were milled (last year – 78.6 million tons), the average crop yield is 25.2 dt/ha (last year – 21.8 dt/ha).

21.5 million ha with winter and spring wheat were thrashed on the territory of Russia, which is 87.4% of the total harvesting area (last year – 20.3 million ha). 58.3 million tons were milled (last year – 48.8 million tons), the average crop yield is 27.1 dt/ha (last year – 24 dt/ha).

8.5 million ha with winter and spring barley were thrashed, which is 93.6% of the total harvesting area (last year – 7.7 million ha). 20.5 million tons were milled (last year – 15.1 million tons), the

average crop yield is 23.9 dt/ha (last year – 19.7 dt/ha).

944,000 ha with corn were thrashed, which is 35.5% of the total harvesting area (last year – 353,000 ha). 4.6 million tons were milled (last year – 1.7 million tons), the average crop yield is 49.1 dt/ha (last year – 49.3 dt/ha).

99,200 ha with rice were thrashed, which is 50.6% of the total harvesting area (last year – 45,500 ha). 632,800 tons were milled (last year – 251,900 tons), the average crop yield is 63.8 dt/ha (last year – 55.4 dt/ha).

430,600 ha with sugar beet were thrashed, which is 47.3% of the total harvesting area (last year – 302,800 ha). 15.7 million tons were harvested (last year – 12.6 million tons), the average crop yield is 363.6 dt/ha (last year – 416.8 dt/ha).

846,500 ha with winter and spring rape were thrashed, which is 71.1% of the total harvesting area (last year – 708,000 ha). 1.3 million tons were milled (last year – 947,600 tons), the average crop

yield is 15 dt/ha (last year – 13.4 dt/ha).

3.4 million ha with sunflower were thrashed, which is 50.1% of the total harvesting area (last year – 1.1 million ha). 5.3 million tons were milled (last year – 2.2 million tons), the average crop yield is 15.6 dt/ha (last year – 20 dt/ha).

763,400 ha with soy bean were thrashed, which is 38.7% of the total harvesting area (last year – 261,100 ha). 1 million ton was milled (last year – 453,100 tons), the average crop yield is 13.3 dt/ha (last year – 17.4 dt/ha).

250,800 ha with potato were harvested on farms and farm households, which is 79.2% of the total harvesting area (last year – 142,300 ha), 5 million tons were harvested (last year – 2.5 million tons), the average yield is 198.7 dt/ha (last year – 178.8 dt/ha).

In agricultural enterprises and farm households 113,600 ha with vegetables were harvested, which is 67.5% of the total harvesting area (last year – 89,000 ha), 2.4 million tons were harvested (last year – 1.3 million tons), the average crop yield is 207.3 dt/ha (last year – 149.7 dt/ha).

According to the data given by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian federation, winter crops have been sowed on 11.4 million ha, which is 69.2% of the total area for sowing (last year – 7.9 million ha).
