Meeting of Tatar scientists and Udmurt agronomists

On September 30, a meeting of scientists and Udmurt agricultural specialists took place in the FSBSI “Tatar Agrarian Scientific-Research Institute”. Chief of Vavozhsk agricultural administration Yury Naimanov, director of the farm household named after Michurin Vladimir Kapeev and the chief agronomist of the farm household Boris Borisov participated in the meeting.

The Vavozhsk integrated agricultural production center named after Michurin is one of the most productive households of Udmurtia. First of all its achievements are based on scientific research and development both in crop raising and cattle breeding. It is a stud farm on stock rearing of black-and-white cattle. Milk yield exceeds 6,000 kg per cow.

Under conditions of imposed sanctions, foodstuff safety is to be based on national scientific achievements and local agricultural production. The main task is to raise agricultural production capacity and to improve the quality of agricultural products.

First of all the guests got interested in research and development in the sphere of selection, seed farming as well as barley, pea and potato cultivation technologies.

Contracts for supply of original seeds and for scientific consulting were signed.
