Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan inspected Autumn Agricultural Fairs

Today Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov has inspected autumn agricultural fairs. Today a series of traditional autumn fairs of agricultural products has started in Tatarstan. The fairs will be open till the beginning of the winter.

It should be noted that this year the agricultural fairs take place on 7 different trade sites of our city, while last year there were only 6 available sites.

Kazaners could buy various agricultural products such as potatoes, vegetables, honey, butter, milk, eggs, etc. Different small and big producers from all the district of the republic presented their production.

The minister suggested decreasing prices on agricultural products during the fairs.

During the meeting with reporters the minister paid attention to the fact that the fairs were organized amid import substitution of foodstuff. Everyone counts on local producers. Marat Akhmetov noted that the latter did their best and presented a wide range of agricultural products.

He also added that the prices on milk, potatoes, butter and some other foodstuff had been adjusted beforehand.

Marat Akhmetov spoke with some agricultural producers and discussed the most important issues. He assured that all the problems will be solved in the nearest future. In conclusion the minister summed up that he was pleased with the fairs owing to the fact that they became better organized and could offer a wide range of products.
