280,000 ha (17%) have been thrashed in the republic of Tatarstan by August 2, 2014. The data were announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov at the republican session in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan today.

The videoconferencing session with participation of all municipal districts of the republic was held by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov.

Marat Akhmetov reported on the weather forecast for the next 2 weeks and noted that it was extremely important for farmers during harvesting campaign. According to his words, grains are in a good condition for storage now. One of the main tasks today is good rates of harvesting.

“Many farm households are going to finish the 1st stage of grain and pea harvesting”, said the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. According to his words, it is labor organization and responsibility of farmers that provide high rate of harvesting, not modern agricultural machinery. The Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov encouraged farmers to do their best for successful harvesting.

Marat Akhmetov reported on fodder preservation in the republic. By August 2, 1,003,000 tons of fodder crops have been preserved, including 509,600 tons of hay.
