Results of Sowing Campaign and Tasks for Growth Season

In Buinsk municipal district the alignment meeting with the members of “Elite Seeds of Tatarstan” Association took place.

Directors and chiefs of agricultural sphere were invited to the meeting.

During the plenary session of the meeting the results of work were summed up and the tasks for the growth season were set.

Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, noted in his speech that incredible heat and low air humidity influence badly the fields of both spring and winter crops.

Ildus Gabdrakhmanov paid special attention to the state of crops on the fields. According to his words, winter crops are getting yellow; there are a lot of side shoots. Now the rye is bearing blossom. Dry hot wind and low air humidity together with high temperature can lead to the flower dust dryout which means that ear grain content is in danger. Winter wheat and spring crops need foliar dressing. The beetroot, corn and other crops as well need the same dressing.

According to recent reports of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, about 10,000 tons of straw and 30,000 tons of haylage were prepared. In Buinsk district they are currently working on fodder conservation, as deputy minister of farming agriculture said.

It is necessary to start fodder conservation in all districts of the republic. “Special attention should be paid to meadows and hay-fields. By the end of the month it is necessary to start fodder conservation there, too. All the plots must be registered”, said Ildus Gabdrakhmanov.

The same meeting will be held in Laishevo municipal district of the republic this week.
