Today Marat Akhmetov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke about the impact of the weather on crops on the fields of the republic at the meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The videoconferencing with all the municipal districts of the republic was held by Ildar Khalikiv, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Marat Akhmetov drew the attention of the participants to the fact that the weather would not make the situation for agriculture better in the nearest future. It is expected that next week the temperature will be over 30 degrees due to which the soil will lose a lot of water. The Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan notes that nowadays the soil is losing much more water in comparison with the average figures for last several years.
Marat Akhmetov reminded that it rained in the districts of the republic but they did not make the situation in Tatarstan better.
Then the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan introduced temperature data and said that rains were expected on the territory of the republic only in the second half of June.
According to the words of Marat Akhmetov, now the main task is to preserve crops on the conditions of abnormal heat, plant nutrition, etc.
Besides that the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan stated that in the nearest future it was necessary to start fodder conservation for cattle, including woody forage conservation.
