Spring sowing campaign

According to recent reports of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, 1.3 million ha (77% ) were sowed with spring crops, including 932.1 thousand ha with winter crops, 402.6 thousand ha with wheat, 51.6 thousand ha with peas. 383.2 thousand ha were sowed with barley in different districts of the republic.

As of May 13, 2014, 46.5 thousand ha (94%) had been sowed with sugar beet.

The spring sowing campaign and the pulse crops sowing campaign has finished in 7 districts of the republic. These are Aznakaevo, Alekseevsk, Atnya, Dorzhzhanovo, Mamadysh and Tetyushi municipal districts. Farmers of Aknatysh, Bavly, Buinsk, Kaibitsk, Nurlat municipal district are finishing sowing of grain crops and pulse crops. 98-99% of work has done.

In Mamadysh municipal district sowing of rape has finished. Sowing of this crop is finishing in Alekseevsk, Apastovo and Dorzhzhanovo municipal districts.
