Rustam Minnikhanov: Development and Support of Consumer Cooperation

“Development and support of consumer cooperation are very important for the republic”, stated Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, during the republican session in the House of Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, held a video-conferencing session with all municipal districts. Ildar Khalikov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, also took part in the session.

Makhmut Fattakhov, President of the Cooperative Alliance of the Republic of Tatarstan, gave a report on the results of work for the 1st quarter of 2014. Namely, he paid attention to the local cooperative societies which had reduced their activities during the 1st quarter of the current year. Beside this, Mr Fattakhov named the territories where the Cooperative Alliance of the Republic of Tatarstan did not carry out its activities.

Rustam Minnikhanov commented on the speech of President of the Cooperative Alliance of the Republic of Tatarstan and noted that the system of consumer cooperation had been essential and efficient for a long time. He also pointed out the importance of the gathered experience.

According to President of the Republic of Tatarstan, one should bear in mind that the system of consumer cooperation performs a social function as well, so the attitude to consumer cooperation should be formed on that basis.
