On May 1, 2014 Customs Union Regulations “Dairy Products Safety” and “Meat Products Safety”, passed by the Eurasian Economic Commission on October 9, 2013, № 67 and №68 correspondingly, come into effect.
The Regulations state the mandatory safety requirements for milk and dairy products as well as for slaughter and meet products produced and used for food on the customs territory of the Customs Union, the requirements for production process, storage, transportation, sale and utilization as well as the requirements for marking and packing to provide free movement of the products on the customs territory of the Customs Union.
According to the Regulations, the industrial facilities carrying out processing of unprocessed operating (food) supplies of animal origin are subject to the official registration.
In this regard all the enterprises on slaughter, production of dairy products, eggs, fish and other animals are to be officially registered.
