Today in Moscow, Tatarstan's Rais Rustam Minnikhanov met with Sergei Dankvert, Head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance. Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov also participated in the meeting.
The discussion focused on further cooperation in veterinary supervision and collaboration in monitoring the safety and quality of products produced in the region.
The parties signed an agreement between Rosselkhoznadzor and the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan on the transfer of some of the Service's powers to the Main Veterinary Directorate of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan to implement federal state veterinary supervision over individuals, including those operating private farms and carrying out activities exclusively within the republic's territory, such as the breeding, raising, keeping, and movement of animals within the region, the sale and slaughter of animals within Tatarstan, and the production, processing, storage, sale of regulated goods and their transportation within the region.
The agreement is concluded for a three-year term, beginning January 1, 2027, and comes into force on the date of the Russian Government's order approving it.
During the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov also presented Sergei Dankvert with the Order "For Services to the Republic of Tatarstan" for fruitful cooperation and special contributions to the development of the republic's agro-industrial complex.
